Remember when you vote this year Public schools are on the ballot
This is it — our moment to stand up for North Carolina’s children, families, and public schools. The 2024 General Election is underway, and your vote is your voice to Restore the Promise of Public Schools and Our Democracy. The stakes couldn’t be higher in North Carolina. Some candidates support our mission and vision for strong public schools. Others are working to dismantle them. We cannot afford to sit this one out because public schools are on the ballot.
NCAE is leading a movement TO CREATE EXCELLENT PUBLIC SCHOOLS
Public schools are where we teach our children the basics of reading and math, nurture their curiosity, and prepare them with important life skills, so that they can be ready for what’s to come. From the mountains to the coast, North Carolinians love their public schools and only together, can we strengthen our public schools for the next generation and generations to come.

A leading voice for educational excellence
The North Carolina Association of Educators (NCAE) is our leading voice for educational excellence, for children and their families, and for the public schools they count on. As the public school employees union and the largest association of professional educators in North Carolina, our membership extends to all 100 counties and includes teachers, non-classified school staff, administrators, students, retirees, and community allies. NCAE believes that every child has a right to a high-quality education, an excellent teacher, and a well-funded school.
