Classroom Educators

North Carolina's teachers help children achieve academically and learn the skills they will need to be successful and productive citizens.

Education Support Professionals

Every day, Education Support Professionals (ESP) take care of our children and ensure that they have everything they need to succeed.

Retired Professionals

North Carolina Retired School Personnel (NCRSP), the retired division of the North Carolina Education Association (NCAE), is the only state association dedicated solely to working on behalf of all retired education personnel. Please join us in our mission to strengthen the education retiree voice in North Carolina by becoming an NCRSP member.

Become a Community Ally

Community Allies are the friends, parents and community members who believe that every student in North Carolina, regardless of family income or place of residence, deserves a quality education.

North Carolina Foundation for Public School Children

Every day a child struggles in school simply because they lack something as basic as a pair of eyeglasses, shoes that fit, appropriate clothing, supplies, a hearing aid, or else. The North Carolina Foundation for Public School Children provides for needs that directly impact a child's school experience when no other resource is available. We respond as quickly as possible so the child can be in school and focus on learning.

I support NCAE because our students and educators need a strong cohesive voice to create sustainable change. The union work we do also creates a better life for all of us. Together WE make things happen!

A leading voice for educational excellence

The North Carolina Association of Educators (NCAE) is our leading voice for educational excellence, for children and their families, and for the public schools they count on. As the public school employees union and the largest association of professional educators in North Carolina, our membership extends to all 100 counties and includes teachers, non-classified school staff, administrators, students, retirees, and community allies. NCAE believes that every child has a right to a high-quality education, an excellent teacher, and a well-funded school.
