Why should every school worker join NCAE?
My top reason for being a union member is the strong support NCAE provides to both staff and students. NCAE always stands up for what’s right. They focus on ensuring that every school, every student, and every staff member is treated fairly and receives what they deserve. Why wouldn’t you want to be a part of that?

Why are public schools important?
Public schools provide education for everyone. They have the staff and resources to better support our students and communities than charter and private schools.

How do you and your colleagues support each other day to day?

Quote byConstance Woods , A do-everything employee of Wake County Public Schools

We live by the motto, “Teamwork makes the dream work.” We've built a strong community of support where we lift each other up.

A leading voice for educational excellence

The North Carolina Association of Educators (NCAE) is our leading voice for educational excellence, for children and their families, and for the public schools they count on. As the public school employees union and the largest association of professional educators in North Carolina, our membership extends to all 100 counties and includes teachers, non-classified school staff, administrators, students, retirees, and community allies. NCAE believes that every child has a right to a high-quality education, an excellent teacher, and a well-funded school.
