NBPTS Substitute Codes
- Allowed up to three (3) days of approved educational paid leave. (Admin must grant approval).
- Absence codes to be used are 04, 14 or 24 (depending on the type of substitute employed).
- NBPTS leave is coded as professional leave with pay and is handled just like any other professional leave with pay. The Program Report Code (PRC is 11). Account codes vary depending on whether you (the regular teacher) are paid on the A or the G schedule:
- 5100-11-46 Salary—Teacher Assistant Salary when substituting
- 5100-11-182 Substitute Pay for NBPTS
- 5200-11-182 Substitute Pay for NBPTS
- 5910-11-211 Employer’s Social Security Cost
